Mourvèdre is the first varietal in our hierarchy of reds, essentially a red wine that even white wine drinkers tend to warm up to. Benefiting from a soft press, it exhibits very low committed tannin. Starting with a very Rhone style mineral bouquet then opens with aromas of subtle smoke, cassis, and wisps of juniper, sage, and parsley. Upon first sip, you will note the creamy and buttery mouthfeel and the sense of weight without being heavy. A light dusty cocoa and pepper spice finish off the sip. Designed to complement literally any item on your family's food table. Bottled June 7, 2020.
