Our Story
Our Story
Teneral Cellars was founded in Northern California in 2020. We are a certified women-owned and operated producer of sustainable, award-winning wines. From the outset, we wanted to harness the power of business for good and use wine as a conduit for change, so when we open a bottle, we open the necessary conversations. We donate 10% of profits to organizations that empower women and fight for gender and racial justice.
In June of 2023 Teneral Cellars purchased Wilderotter Vineyard, finding ourselves a home to share our passion for wine, community and sense of place. Teneral Cellars at Wilderotter Vineyard was born! Our 40-acre estate is in the heart of the Sierra Foothills AVA in Plymouth, CA in Amador County. Our home includes 26 acres of vineyards, a full winery production facility, and a five-star luxury boutique hotel called the Grand Reserve Inn. We have another 28 acres of vineyards in Amador County along with 10 acres of vineyards in the wine AVA of Fair Play in El Dorado County. Wilderotter Vineyard has produced some of the best wine in the County, including the best Sauvignon Blanc and Nebbiolo in the region. This merger of two great brands will allow us to continue to produce phenomenal wines and offer every guest an exceptional experience.
